Just like neon clothing hit the market in the 1980s, RGB lighting, which originated primarily in computers, is becoming more popular in home lighting and this ceiling light is great.

The fixture is NOT easy to install if you have a textured ceiling. It didn't help much that the dumb box holding the wiring wasn't level. I had one side 1/4-3/8 higher than the other (3mm for you Europeans). Secured with door seals on each side. Also sand the ridges on the ceiling textures.

Overall light is excellent so far. It was easy to install, brighter than ours (600 lumens) and dimmable. The remote sucks and takes a few clicks to do what you want (can be annoying but doesn't bother me) and has RGB. I wish RGB was brighter and more practical and not just a useless feature. Happy with it, unobtrusive and handsome.

The lamps are very versatile because you can select different light color temperatures (5000K, 4000K, etc.) with the remote control. Everything by remote control. You can also dim the light with the remote control. This is a simple 3 wire configuration. The only downside is that if the light is turned off and on again, it reverts to the default settings. It will NOT remember the setting you selected before turning it off. (We bought 3 lamps.)

I had to find a subtle design to replace the light in the stairwell leading to my basement as it is a narrow stairwell. The device is very thin - very easy to install and MUCH brighter than I expected! I LOVE that it comes with a multi-function remote control - on/off of course, 30 second off delay, different color options, an option where the colors fade from red to green to blue etc and also the option of pure white Having light from 6000k to 3200k incandescent bulbs.

I only realized I made a mistake after the product arrived. I bought the 8 inch version when I was looking to get the 11 inch version but was pleasantly surprised with the end result. The light is solid and bright and was extremely easy to install. My only complaint is that it flickers a bit at 3000K or 6000K, but since I prefer to use RGB it's not a big deal. The light itself is very bright and really brightens up the area for such a small product. Like I said, I'm surprised the 8 inch model…

The light is good, the lamp itself is easy to install. The remote took some time to understand. It's not super clear. The reason I deducted two stars is due to a major inconvenience. I bought this for my daughter's nursery so I could use the night light feature and such, but the main downside is that the light switch resets the lighting settings. For example if I want to dim the light I have to leave the light switch on and turn the light on or off with the remote otherwise the light will reset
