Ricoh Theta M15 360 Degree Spherical Panorama Camera (Yellow) Review

I bought this camera because I wanted to quickly create panoramas for display with Google Cardboard. I was looking for an affordable one-click alternative to the Google Photo Sphere app. Overall I'm happy with the ease of use and the iPhone app works well. However, the quality of the photos only seems acceptable to me when viewed on a mobile device. Works for an early spherical camera but the quality is terrible. I would normally give it 4 stars but Ricoh Imaging's customer support is terrible! My lens was damaged while in the case that came with it and customer service basically told me there was nothing they could do. They said that due to the construction, there was no way to repair the camera and that the warranty was expired. I assume the warranty doesn't cover wear and tear, but it was damaged inside the socket and there's nothing…

What can one say about that. I originally found out about this camera through Vihart's YouTube channel. I was intrigued and at such a (relatively) low price I had to see it. For the price it's amazing! A 360-degree entry-level camera in every respect. Video and photo quality isn't great, but if you're looking for a platform to test or simple videos, this is the camera.
