I will say that this device works well. I turn it off to save battery and when I turn it back on it connects immediately. BUT I wouldn't recommend it for two reasons: 1. The lack of a backlight makes it difficult to use in the dark. Let's face it, you're not going to be using this in a lighted room. Because then you would just use a regular keyboard. Works great with Fire TV. Be aware of a few things as the instructions are ambiguous, nothing about it on YouTube or a web search. To be clear you need to remove the transmitter from the back or from the remote where the battery is located. Please note the picture when setting up. and most importantly disable "USB debugging" otherwise the keyboard will not sync (show blue light)

Got this for my Samsung Smart TV. I have yet to get it working properly. I can navigate to a website using the keyboard to enter a URL. However, when I grab the mouse and click the link, nothing happens. When I enter the activation code in the field and then click Next, nothing happens. So at that point I couldn't use apps on the smart tv and if I had known about it I would never have bought a smart tv let alone this mini keyboard. The user manual is useless. The couch is far enough away that the RF transmitter has connection issues at times so the controls can get a bit shaky hence the 4 stars but otherwise everything has been great so far. Once you open the box, the Rii i8 feels well made and solid, or at least as solid as you'd expect from a TV remote, and the box even has a certificate of authenticity on the box to discourage piracy impede.
