Description of ๐Ÿ”ด High-Performance Seal Doctor - Risk Racing 00-121, Red, Large (45mm - 55mm)

Saves money, saves time, and fixes leaks. Lower the dust seal, snap on the seal Doctor, Insert Seal Doctor into leady seal, twist 360 degrees, and pull down the seal Doctor to remove dirt and grime. Comes with protective holder, so it can be stored safely in your toolbox or trail pack. The seal Doctor effortlessly pulls out dirt and other grime, rather than pushing it deeper into the fork.

It works better than SealMate.

UPDATE: plug still clean and tight after 2 years! This works exactly as advertised. Very easy to use, a lot of dirt comes out of the seal. I don't know if the leak has been fixed yet, but even if it hasn't, Seal Doctor did his job and cleaned up the mess. I was very hesitant because of the price, but now I have no hesitation in recommending it for cleaning fork seals. It pulled out a lot more dirt than the plastic sheets I've tried before. It's so easy to slide, twist and pull out the trash. Iโ€ฆ

Definitely works fine.

It definitely washes away dirt. I've had a pretty bad leak on occasion, leaving drips of oil on the garage floor just below the fork. I thought I would have to do repairs, but I didn't expect that. I looked around for possible solutions and found these tools that people swear by. This was the only one I found on Revain with first class shipping so I went with it and although they are probably overpriced for what they cost. It's a great tool and you'll get rid of it when you see how much stuffโ€ฆ

Seal Steroids

Just Buy It. My seals were really dirty. Unfortunately it turned out to be a blown seal but I wanted to take the forks apart and really clean the inside. The amount of road grime they pulled out of the seals and trunk was insane. I was surprised there was actually oil left with how much sand seemed to have accumulated. It snaps straight onto the male pipe. Just line it up correctly depending on whether you have traditional or dollar forks. One side for sealing, thinner hook, the other side forโ€ฆ

Worth it if the forks aren't bent or dented.

After the F-150 crashed into the front wheel of my Triumph Bonneville, I noticed that the forks were slightly misaligned (I have Renthal bars and I can see the letters are slanted, when I'm eating). I "flattened" them by hitting the curb with my front wheel (in retrospect, I should have loosened the triple clamps first). After that, my right fork tubes squeaked every time I rode. I made my own sealing tool from a 2 liter coke bottle and it stopped the leak for about 6 months. When the leak came

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some cons

I have had leaky fork oil seals since the summer. This spring I wanted to break them and replace them so I could ride again. I asked the dealer how much it would cost and they charged almost $300 to replace both seals. That's when I started searching online how to make it yourself. I've read that seals aren't bad in most cases. They only have dirt inside them that will allow oil to pass through the seal. There is a cheaper tool you can buy. Or you can make your own from a plastic coke bottleโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • There are problems
