I did it myself because I was curious about the difficulty. In general, assembly took 6 hours and a bottle of wine. It might have taken longer because of the wine. The instructions were very easy to follow and the pieces are made of wood and fit together perfectly. What put me off was the quality of the music box. It's way better than I expected! This little jukebox set is amazing! I bought this for myself and my 6 year old to put together to while away the time sheltering in place.
