Fantastic mic for voiceover, podcasting and all radio/broadcast applications. It is very well built with a metal body. Prepare a quality mount/stand as this pup is not lightweight. How it sounds: I love how the Rode Procaster picks up the spoken voice. Very flat with no peaks in frequency response. It has excellent background noise cancellation, at least in my harsh environment. Of the two mics I tried, the Procaster was my favorite. I just bought this mic and tested it last weekend. The bottom line is that it's cheap to my ears compared to my EV RE20 for a lot less money than the RE20's cost. Both microphones are solidly built and clearly designed for heavy use. Both deliver a nice clear sound that is well suited for vocals.
