Clamping and releasing with locking screws on the top side. Comes with draw-down effect. Made out of alloyed tool steel, hardened and precision ground. Horizontal and vertical ground prism. No spindle which, for example, could become clogged during erosion.

A Must-Have for Precise Workholding

Very good fit and finish

Very good fit and finish. I'm a novice machinist so I can't comment on the accuracy of the vise (how perpendicular/parallel the surfaces are), but it seems legit. One thing to note is that this type of vise is more difficult to set up than anything with a lead screw. In the long run this is the kind of vise I need, but for less precise applications it might be better to have a standard machine vise where you can just put the work piece in and turn the handle to tighten.
