Nice concept but didn't work well for my drawers

I've tried a few of these on my drawers but removed them for 3 reasons: 1 - They put quite a strain on the drawer opening. . My wife didn't like it.2 - The mechanism on the drawer sometimes jumped over the mechanism in the closet and we had to "reset" it. With drawers that we use every day, this happened a few times and quickly became annoying. 3 - Of the four I installed, the drive on one was very squeaky. improvement of my situation.

Amazing product! - Fittings

This is an amazing product. We've long dreamed of soft-closing drawers, but we always thought that hiring someone to replace all of our gear would be too expensive, let alone the hassle. I saw them and ordered 1 pair and wasn't expecting much. To my surprise they worked and were very easy to install. Now my husband wants them all over the house (kitchen, bar in basement and 4 bathrooms). Too bad we didn't find them years ago! A tip: Visit the manufacturer's website and watch the video for this…

Tried and tried and tried.

I placed them on two 12 inch wide drawers, each filled with light items and each with the type of drawer they depict. Unless you pull the drawer straight out, the leg will jump over the edge to grab hold. I installed a piece of wood on the cabinet above the leg to keep the drawer on track. But if something is misaligned, the foot will either get caught on the stop block or jump over the pawl. I then tried it on a heavier drawer with your typical full extension slide. It worked better there…

Good inexpensive addition, not for beginners

This product worked well in slowing down our drawers to close. I followed other posters advice on installing these gears. I also added another piece of wood to prevent the drawer from popping out of the slide out mechanism (you can see it in the picture). Generally we only needed one per box. Even heavy boxes, one worked fine. If you use two I find that they are too difficult to open. The only thing I would change when designing these parts is to have a spring tension screw adjustment inside so

They worked great. I heard drawers slam.

Worked great. I've been listening to boxing slam for over 10 years and it's amazing stuff. I was able to get them to work with my drawers only attached to the front and back of the closet. I took a 1" x 4" piece of oak wood and cut it into 8" pieces. I had an abundance of unused mounting holes on the side of the sliding cabinet and attached a 1 x 4 piece to the back with some flat sheets. Metal screws through two holes in the rail. This gave me a flat surface to install the door closer. The…

Easy to install and cheaper than a new slide.

Okay, I replaced all of the kitchen drawers and cabinets with soft close hinges. It looked like a very easy option to complement my soft-close cabinet hinges, so I ordered a pair to try. They won't work for me. I think others have considered this as well, you should first check the drawers you plan to use them for and make sure the sides of the cabinet you are attaching them to are flat. My custom drawers have more space inside with a thin piece of wood that the drawer slides are attached to…

An acceptable aftermarket solution with a few caveats.

My son installed these and liked them so I decided to buy them for 24 kitchen drawers. They are easy to install with care. They are relatively inexpensive. There are a few small gatehouses. The tiny flange on the front of the part that attaches to the wall inside the cabinet breaks off very easily, so you'll have to line them up without it. It's easy to do. In fact, several of mine broke before I took them out of the box, but they break even with careful handling. A more serious issue is that…

Pros
  • GENTLE CLOSURE: This soft-close adapter guarantees gentle, rattle-free closing at optimum speed at all times. Thanks to the high-strength soft-closing piston.
Cons
  • I will add later

They make drawers close softly, but there are a few tips and tricks to know. As previously mentioned, you will need to place a 1 x 4 x 8 inch piece of wood between the existing drawer slide and the inside of the cabinet. This is necessary so that the closer adapter has something to attach to. A block of wood is easier than any other type of spacer. You also need to carefully align the portion of the drive that attaches to the box itself. All you have to do is clean the front of the soft close…

Rok is the Rock :) on Cabinet Hardware

My contractor installed a cabinet system into a new assembly (not so new anymore). Roller guides - the way they were fitted I would have to pull out the existing guides - break a bunch of pressed plastic holders, drill new holes etc! I've been trying to get soft close full extension slides but they would require a lot of rework inside the case. I didn't want to destroy the closet. Found them to work - 5 minute install and done :). There is no need to delete existing slides. Installed two - one…

Pros
  • DIY BEST CHOICE: Our drawer soft close is a popular choice for installing fascia and frameless cabinets due to the need for 1/2" (13mm) and 9" overall side clearance. (228 mm) minimum drawer depth. It also comes with a user manual that is easy to read.
