Very impressed with the design and layout of this carousel set. The instructions are clear and the illustrations are detailed and clear. The wood, while thin in places, is remarkably malleable. I didn't have a problem with broken parts, but I was also very careful. After applying the wax, the parts can be easily connected. The finished product works as it should and looks fantastic.

Too many small or thin parts and the places where they are to be installed are too tight, causing the parts to break if you apply a little force to insert them into the slots . When I put the top of the carousel on, everything stopped working and I had to take it apart to play the music. The picture shows how far I could go before it stopped working. And the railing was so flimsy that it broke in several places when I tried to put it back together.

I bought these after my friend gave me the first one for my anniversary. I went as far as putting axles on pony bars and every axle broke. I fell in love with them and was really disappointed so I tried replacing them and was hoping to make a second one but again the same axle problems. too flimsy and broken and they don't have extras like the other parts. Now I'm stuck with two unfinished broken carousels.

Easy assembly. Do not use force to remove parts from the wooden frame. Using a utility knife, cut off the connection points holding stubborn parts to the frame. - Do not use force to insert parts. Apply some wax to areas that resist insertion to prevent breakage. Because of the crowding, use small needle nose pliers to hold and insert the crankshaft bearings that drive the rods underneath rather than trying to squeeze your fingers into the small space.

The pieces are very thin and require some force to fit into the appropriate holes, but the product turned out great! I wish the included sandpaper was a little bigger. For those who are patient and like to create complex things, this is for them! Thank goodness it has a few extra parts because I broke a few small ones. I broke most of it trying to put it back on, but a little super glue fixed it. I'm definitely ordering more. They're a little expensive.

I love jigsaw puzzles and I really liked this one. Took me 4 hours and 45 minutes and was in no rush. However, about 12 pieces broke during installation and I used velvet gloves after reading the reviews. Everything either requires you to snap a piece into an interconnected piece (like a jigsaw puzzle, yes) or take those VERY small wooden pegs the size of a pinhole and stick them into another piece to secure things.
