Good design. The device is too short, so the twist grip scratches your knuckles. Not easy to clean. I love it but wish the designers had made it 1 inch longer and had a smoother steel seam on the drum for easier cleaning.

I liked that the Romano/Parmesan grinds very well. The cheese comes out on both sides which the plastic ones don't, so be careful we spilled some all over the table. I love it because there are no plastic or rubber parts to break or fall apart.

Looks good but that's where the positives end. It feels very flimsy, the ungrated cheese keeps falling out of the bottom (meaning the drum doesn't sit flush with the rest of the grater), and the handle doesn't turn very smoothly. Spend a few bucks more and get something better.

Some sharp edges can seriously injure your hand or fingers. The valve that holds the cheese in place doesn't appear to be properly aligned. It needs to be moved a bit to get it in place. Also the knife that comes with the grater is good except the blade falls out and has to be put back in and the sides have to be pressed together to keep the blade in place.

I was excited to try this, unfortunately the way the cutter wheel sits the block of cheese hangs on the edges making it very difficult to actually grate the cheese . As you turn it, the larger pieces tend to break off and fall into the food you're cooking well. The metal is light and looks cheap.

Bought 2 of these. 1 for me and 1 for my mother. I've used mine a few times on cheese I've used on sausage balls and pepper cheese. That works great! Easy to assemble and not very difficult to clean. I usually wash as soon as I use it and it helps. The price definitely can't be beat! If mine ever breaks or gets too boring I will definitely buy another one!

Bought this rotary grater instead of the file grater I have because of the ease of use. This rotary grater is easy to use, but so light that it takes effort to turn the grater. The advantage is that you never have to watch your fingers. This is a Chinese product, it includes a vegetable peeler. I have used both products several times with great success. When washing the grater, the grater's rotating bowl came loose, but I was able to put it back on with minimal effort.

Rotating metal on metal creates a black streak on Parmesan, which turns into grated cheese in the form of hundreds of black, pepper-like flakes. Most of the time this can be avoided by leaving the cheese in the middle of the drum, but you still have to pick out some grains. Thorough washing and even boiling the device did not solve the problem. We've had a few years of infrequent use, but I've just found out that it has a lifetime guarantee, so I'll see if there's the same issue with another…

The package arrived badly dented but luckily the cheese grater appeared to be intact. "Fortunately," I say, but whatever. Sharp metal edges right where your hands are. There is not enough room to hold the grater on the high torque end of the handle without stripping your knuckles. So I tried grating the cheese by holding it near the end of the hinge which resulted in almost no grating and what did I find?
