I am very happy with my Rototrim. I couldn't figure out why I didn't get one of these to begin with. I should have gone with the best to begin with.

I just bought my 18" Rotatrim and it's not as strong as I thought it would be, the chrome steel square stabilizing bar is loose and the plastic plate that controls how much paper to cut at a time is loose.

Getting the exact cut exactly where you want it is difficult. The edge of the plastic print strip is not where the paper will be cut. To cut exactly where you want you need to press on the paper and mark where it curves. The hat is the cutting edge of the plate.

Although this paper cutter is sturdy and well made, it can't handle more than one sheet of cardboard at a time. The cutting edge of the cutter is covered in plastic, which prevents the user from seeing exactly where the blade will cut. This is a well made device and works well with one card at a time, but there are others on the market that I would consider. I must add that the service was very timely, the goods were in good condition and delivered well.

Bought this on a friend's recommendation. This is a wonderful paper cutter; I can cut 1/8" wide strips accurately if I want! I especially like the design because when you press down to cut, it also presses on a slightly soft piece of plastic that holds the paper in place. I've never seen anything like it and it works great! This device does to paper what a disc cutter and cutting mat do to fabric. Definitely worth the money.

We searched for a long time before we bought this disc cutter. This was the best review we found and it did not disappoint. We bought one for our library and one for our history center. It was safer and stayed sharper than the guillotine cutter we had before. It has a solid construction, easily cuts about 6 sheets of plain paper and after a year of daily use it is still sharp and cuts well. We were happy with this purchase.

This torch is more affordable because it has only one stabilizer bar instead of two. A bent shank can result in inaccurate cutting. While it's natural/tempting to grab a cutter by the pole, it's not necessary and how and where you store it should solve any problem. However, if others will be using it, consider a more stable setup, even if it's more expensive. The cutter I bought from Revain is very accurate and smooth.
