New Design Flash: Tools & Equipment

Looks good and holds the phone. I made a 5/8" low pressure copper gas line that requires a strong hand, even with a large handle. I had the ability to secure the base in a vise and work with both hands. There are no instructions, so that's called practice it practice practice the correct height of the tube in the mount and how far to drive the 45 degree head Steve

Ideally designed.

I bought a crimping tool from a local company called Ace Hardware. Really a piece of junk. When tightening the flaring mechanism, the tube is simply pushed off. This tool is a real find! He "bites" the pipe perfectly. You have to love technology. Just reinforces the notion that you should always buy good tools. They make the job much easier and more efficient.

Familiarize yourself with your tool before making permanent connections

This flaring tool is great for my job, flaring on the pipe is a bit difficult if you are not used to these tools I would recommend to practice it. some tubing before making the permanent connection so you're familiar with the tool (a tool is only as good as its user). I am satisfied with the structure and functionality of this tool. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a good tool. for money

very good tool suitable for brake tools

I made some good flares for my mini split air conditioner with this tool. I practiced on a spare tube before getting down to business. It takes a bit of practice to get a really perfect flare and the width of the flare requires some judgement, but the tool is well made and really great for the price. don't slip There is no bottom die so how much to flare is a matter of judgment.

WOW, just WOW!: Brake Flaring Tools

I had a superior flaring tool that I bought at a local hardware store a few years ago. My R410a split unit leaked every year and I rebuilt the flares, pressure tested the system, added new refrigerant only to come back next summer to see oily residue on the flare fitting. After much research I found that it was a flared edge which no matter how much I did with my old flare tool it always turned out to be a poor quality joint. After looking at many reviews I found that either this product or the

One of the best tools I've ever had, seriously

This is a real review, I bought this item at full price WOW that's all I can say. I broke a "heavy" flare tool that I bought at a local store, so I decided to try this instead of buying another split block tool. The highlights are amazing every time, perfectly smooth and shiny. The trick is knowing how tight to tighten and leaving it about 1/16 to 1/8 inch above the silver outer edge of the tool. I used it to cut some very thick 5/8 tubes for my mini split (the same tube that 'heavy tool'…
