It's a great rice potato with the perfect texture for making gnocchi or mashed potatoes, but it'll definitely get you working out! I think you feel like you've earned the right to enjoy carbs after using this stuff. Although it's a bit of a hassle, I use it almost every time I blend because it noticeably improves the final texture.

The only way to make mashed potatoes

RSVP Baby Food Potato Rice Separator & Strainer - White/Green I purchased this product because it was rated highly in America's Test Kitchen. It's basically a really big garlic press. It's great for pureeing, which is what I use 95% of the time, but I think it's great for pureeing/pureeing other foods. It's easy to use and won't put too much strain on your hands. It also has an extension that allows it to rest on the potty, which is very handy. The plastic is durable and easy to assemble and…

Build - Kitchen & Dining

I'm a design freak and loved this product after the Milk Street test. . Luckily there was no damage. When disassembling the rice cooker for the first rinse by hand, the stainless steel strainer at the bottom didn't come out easily and I had to use a wooden spoon to push it out. After rinsing and drying (need to be careful of the deep channels in the handle that hold water) I just couldn't get the stainless steel screen to seed the soil properly after a few tries and even pushed hard with a…

Works perfectly. Very durable.

I've never used a potato masher before. I searched the internet for reviews and the website I found rated this as second best. #1 was an expensive stainless steel model but the review said it had a big square neck so you could light a potato without shaving off the sides! Well, it should be number 1 in my opinion. I used it once to steam rice for a fried potato chunks recipe. That works fine. Comes with 2 screens of different sizes. They are easy to change and are well secured. I'd say they're…

A bad choice if you have arthritis in hand.

I bought this dish because it got the highest rating from America's Test Kitchen. A small potato will push out the top and sides, but since it becomes a puree, it can be scraped into a container along with the rice potatoes. Just a little dirty. Additionally, the plastic "protrusions" that need to be squeezed to release the part holding the metal plate are small, VERY stiff, and VERY hard to squeeze enough to release for cleaning. To me, that's bad design. I've used it many times hoping it will

Energy Required: Fruit and vegetable tools

I ordered this RSVP potato maker because I saw it in a test kitchen in America. I used it for the first time last night with potatoes that I cooked sliced with skin. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that the skins clog the holes when hunting potatoes. So don't do it! It's quite large and the problem is that when you fill it with potatoes you don't have to squeeze it with both hands to push the potatoes through the holes, which I found awkward. Once you get the handles close enough together, you…

Not for potatoes in their skins!

It's hard to say how to rate this as it looks like a solid and decent product. If you like peeling potatoes. But if, like me, you like the skin on or in the potato, or if you just planned to save time and just toss the skin out of the mug after squeezing the cooked potato, I suggest you look elsewhere . ... It was such a tedious and time-consuming job to remove the skin from the cup that it would be an awkward task even if I wanted to throw it away. Now multiply that by every time you push more
