Good product but instructions could be better. The connections are a little confusing and I'm not sure how long it will take. It connects to a battery and appears to use an internal battery. The instructions seem simple and clear, but they are not. I can't get it to work on my 8 cylinder 4 stroke Ford 351w with distributor. The setting should be 1P2r (one spark per two revs, but the RPM is too high at this setting. This is exactly what I needed to adjust the idle speed on my Vespa. I didn't need a tachometer that I could set up for continuous use, just one that I could use to set the idle speed while adjusting the carburetor. I set mine up so I can just hide it in the engine bay when not needed, although it can be installed if desired.
