After several uses, the quality seems very good. Definitely prevents fenders and the front of the car from getting greasy and scratches from straps and buttons when bending over the fender. The magnets seem to be sufficient to keep the lids in place. Good good full frontal protection of the entire front of most vehicles when working with them. My husband likes it very much. At first he was furious because he thought I'd bought him Al's 1995 car bra, but when he realized it was a magnetic mat for his car repair adventures, he got dizzy.
