Yes they are worth it

Installed on my 2010 in just 5 minutes and was very easy. They are very bright and turn your license plate into a billboard. Don't commit crimes as everyone can easily read your well-lit plate. Much better than buying 194 LEDs and putting them in a storage case.

Great!: Accent and Off-Road Lighting

I bought these for my 2011 Tacoma. They were extremely easy to install (remember to save and reuse the original gasket). They are very bright and look great! I am very happy with the update of the drain. (Note: I had to hammer and snap off some of the plastic on the back to fit my bumper) no big deal at all.

Nice and bright but the beam is too wide - probably unsafe

This is a big improvement over the stock license plate lights I had on the Tundra except the beam is too wide. They illuminate the lane/cars next to me, which can cause visibility problems for other drivers. Also, they weren't easy to install. I had to enlarge the holes in the bumper with a utility knife to make them fit. Not a big deal, but a little extra work no less.

Almost 2 hells!? in license plate light

They work! and very easy to install! But dude, they're bright!. Warning: if you have installed a rear view camera on your license plate (like me). They are so bright you really can't see off camera! There is so much glare from these lights that I have to turn off all the lights to allow the camera to focus. That's why I gave them 3 stars instead of 5. I really don't think you need THAT bright lights for your license plate.

Much brighter than OEM

I got pulled over because my Tacoma didn't have a license plate light and the officer said the other light wasn't bright enough. I bought these for an upgrade and they are 10 times brighter than the OEM and I am confident I will never have to replace them. Easy exchange. It connects after you take out your old lightbulb. Read the instructions. If it takes you longer than 5 minutes, you did something wrong. ALSO NOTE: There's LEFT and RIGHT, it's important.

See Your Out-of-State Plate

I don't normally review products that already have accurate, honest ratings, but here I had to add to the five star chorus. These things are bright - if they're brighter, you need a camera obscura to look at them. They are very easy to install, just pull the bulb straight out of the body and insert the blade from the new block (discard the old outer shell of course). As mentioned, there is a left and a right, but it is not marked. You could say that the longer plastic tab on the back of the new

Inexpensive license plate light upgrade

Installs easily (although not entirely intuitive, with a small circuit board on a flex cable that needs to be plugged into an existing light socket rather than a traditional lamp socket [a nice touch is, orientation doesn't matter - it still works. Not a huge plus, but handy!], then the housing is fitted with LEDs instead of the original housings/reflectors). As a bonus, the new cases look a lot better than my dirty, faded and scratched 12 year old originals. Actual LED lights are much brighter
