And It also is designed be installed outdoors in an open area where the generator is being used to avoid carbon monoxide hazard. 💒Safety Light Indication: there is a clear LED power indicator on the flip cover. Decent product, but would have preferred it be a metal enclosure

Always tough to balance, resistance to elements with durability, in this case I would have preferred the box be made of metal.That aside, it is nicely made and ought to do the job as long as it it is not struck on, or by something.The plastic will likely shatter, while metal might just deform and end up being repairable, that is the reason for my preference. If a metal box gets a bit rusty, there is always the option of a little wire brushing and paint, whereas once plastic gets deterriorated…

The predrilled plates really made install easy

This is a 50 amp socket that takes stiff 6 gauge wires. Being able to attach my liguid-tight conduit to the plate, then put the plate on after really made the job go much faster and with less frustration. I would use this style box again.

Well designed inlet box

I must say I was impressed by the quality design of this inlet box. I was expecting mostly plastic and no instructions. It is made of metal and came with instructions!To be honest you don't need the instructions. Each wire slot is color coded so even I could not mess up the installation. This is way better than another box I installed recently that had X & Y instead of the colors. I had to look on the internet how to install that one.Another great feature is there is a green light that comes on

Heavy duty good for me

It's a heavy duty box with a solid spring loaded lid. Keeps the weather out and plug secure while in use. That's my review.

Well suited for its designed purpose

This is a nice generator plug for mounting on your house for back feeding the panel during a power outage. Unit seems to be well sealed and comes with plenty of openings as well as plugs if you don't need them. It has a flip up lid that will help keep critters from nesting or causing problems. Quality is good with plenty of room to make connections. I found no issues and I would purchase again. As advertised best in my review

My husband gave it 4 stars as easy to install, not because of the product, but because of working with 6 awg wiring that has to go in the box. I’m sure that other boxes are smaller, which would make them more difficult. Quality of the box seems to be very good, I'd definitely recommend it!

Heavy Duty & Waterproof

Very happy with this purchase. This 30amp 4 Prong Generator Inlet Power Box is a great addition to get my generator hooked up to my breaker panel. I was surprised how heavy duty it is and really like that it is waterproof.
