Shame on Apple good for computers and accessories

I have an iMac and was frustrated because I either had to go back and guess where to plug the cable/flash drive or rotate the iMac to use it you can see forks. Guess what - sometimes you need to connect USB devices! I stumbled across it and bought it immediately. I wish I had found this many years ago as it would have made using an iMac a lot less frustrating. Installing this unit isn't too difficult (although you'll put in more effort than you think you have to). Plug it into a USB port, align

Product fits and looks good in my opinion

I purchased this item for my 2017 27" iMac. The item arrived the same day as my new computer .The item fitted well and looked good in my opinion.Functionally the product worked as intended after I bought the power adapter separately.Unfortunately the product has some iOS conflicts where every time the Mac goes to sleep, while the hub was plugged in, the computer could not wake up (must be unplugged for a count of 10 and then plugged back in.) I took both the computer and the hub out of the…

This isn't USB 3.0: Networking Products

The product description says it's USB 3.0, but it's not. connect four devices to my computer without digging around like a teenager trying to pull off a girl's bra. It does what I expected, but very slowly. I leave it out because the convenience of connecting 4 USB ports directly to my iMac is more important than the speed. When I need speed, I have ports on the back. Other things I would like to point out is that it has an AC power connector on the back, but there is no indication of its power

Mine works fine

I work from home a lot, which means I carry my portable external drive to and from the office. I appreciate the convenience of being able to quickly attach and detach the front of my iMac, especially at home, which is harder to reach from the back. As others have pointed out, it was a tight setup, but once installed it was as solid as if it were part of the machine. What bothered me the most were the complaints that other people's machines were having trouble waking up from sleep for some…

Problems: Causes of random shutdowns on my iMac 27 inch

turned off unexpectedly and I could only restart it by unplugging the power cord for 5-10 seconds, plugging it back in and pressing the restart button pressed. I first suspected and replaced my APS PSU. But the problem remained. My iMac would shut down in screensaver mode two or three times a day. I have not experienced any disconnections while actively working on the computer. I re-read all the reviews and found others who had this problem. After removing this USB 3.0 hub, the problem…

No microphone input via headphone jack!

I bought this hub for two reasons: 1. I needed more accessible USB ports. 2. Since my 2017 iMac's built-in mic never worked properly, I have to use either wired headphones with in-line mic or headphones via Bluetooth. I prefer the tethered connection most of the time because I get the best sound and I don't have that annoying latency issue when the video and audio are out of sync over Bluetooth. Also, I conduct a lot of audio meetings and need a reliable login for those meetings. So after…

This is a very good product but people should read the instructions.

I also bought an iMac hub with four USB ports in the past. Note: I've read the instructions and I think most of the bad reviews are because people don't. on the back of your iMac. However, the instruction manual for this device shows that the hub is connected to the Thunder port closest to the USB ports. It will never snap into air vents via this port, the one next to the ethernet port works perfectly. The reason why the air vents have supports, and if you try to install with your schematic…

Works great, but a bit fiddly to install.

It works as advertised but WOW how cumbersome it is to hook up. It fits very snugly and took a few tries. It doesn't "snap" or anything like that, and you have to bend it a bit to get it in. Begin alignment at the port by inserting the prongs into the vent and then bending/rolling into the hole. USB connector and press (press harder than I expected). When I first plugged it in, it wasn't far enough to work. The second try worked, and when I took it out and put it back in, it worked too, so I…
