Description of Prevent Horse Injuries with the Safety Tie-In Horse Tether Tie: Horse Safety Release Tie-Down Clip (2pcs)

Designed to be used anywhere at any time. Can be used with a lead rope no matter where the horse might be. This breakaway solution can be combined with a lead rope and connected to any tying off point. Safe option in how to trailer a horse or how to float a horse. Designed to hold fast under normal conditions but give way when sufficient pressure is applied to it.

they open too easily

The horse has been freed this way many times by simply pulling the rope. The idea behind it is excellent, too bad it doesn't work as it should

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Appearance

Approvals but not as expected

There is a 3 year OTTB. The product will be released when she returns, I just can't reuse it. This is the 3rd she has broken in this way.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Available in black only

would not buy again.

Breaks too easily. This is to ensure the horse doesn't get hurt by pulling too hard every time I use it. the horse is gone. Good idea but not strong enough for my cheeky horse.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Almost never

Outstanding security Breakaway

Saves a lot of money compared to breakaway holsters. But don't use it if your horse isn't already securely tied up - he'll figure it out and push it out just to eat the herbs. It is NOT recommended for use at horse shows or outdoors where the horse may run away and injure itself.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Unnecessary features

Difficult to close, easy to open

It is very difficult to align the teeth to secure the sling and then sometimes they just break from the pressure of trying to tie the lead rope. I use them in my caravan so I think they're fine but I wouldn't trust them to use in the shed or tie them outside of my caravan. I'm pretty sure my horse could have just run away and they would have let me go.

Pros
  • price
Cons

Don't give it too much importance.

I think it should be able to withstand several hundred pounds of pressure. We attached a bucket of water to it and my client decided to attach to it too. The horse grabbed the grass and it tore. The bucket hit the ground and at that moment the horse moved away. Yes, the water and the horse should not be in the same place. All in all, I expected a longer shelf life. In addition, it quickly fades in the sun.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I will add later

Basic Precautions

We keep these on all external trailer anchorage points - while our horses now generally behave well when tethered, the decoupling ensures they have a potentially bad not aggravate the situation. In the past one of our horses unexpectedly "freaked out" after being tied up, snapped the halter and left a rope burn on his face. Although we've worked very hard with her since then, it helps to know that this won't happen again. :)

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Mostly Good, But...
