For me the best hiking shoes!

These are the best shoes I've ever owned! The support is excellent and they are very comfortable. I was skeptical about the quick lacing system but it seems very durable and very easy to use. Merrill used to be my favorite hiking shoe brand but now that I've tried Salomons I will never go back! Great shoes!

These shoes are a great brand. I'm not sure if this is just an updated model.

I had to go half a size down. I used to buy xa pro but I think this is a lighter model. I'm not sure but the balls of my feet really hurt. After not wearing much. Just got back and was hoping to get another pair of Solomons that don't pull up as much. I love this brand and have never had this problem. So not sure why they do it.

The quality isn't what it used to be. 2 months, seams separated

So these are my 6 pairs of these waterproof Salomon running shoes from the last 10+ years. They have always been my favorite shoe for hiking and occasional trail running. My last pair I have is already 3 years old and just starting to fall apart as expected. But these new waterproof running shoes from Salomon had a separate tread for the first week. I have released it now, 2 months after buying it, there is a hole in the side seam in the new place. Very very sad. I think I'll try a new brand.
