I bought this product after reading several reviews and looking at similar new models. The monitor itself has a good clear picture. Everything in the box was in the original packaging. There are no visible scratches. Similar models have internal speakers. Not this monitor. It has a headphone jack. I was very happy with this monitor. For the price I find it outstanding. I use it for work from home, with some video editing and gaming, although I'm probably a moderate gamer, not a serious gamer. But for what I like, it's fantastic. It's only a 34-inch monitor, so it's not huge or curved. To be honest I'm not sure what you're going to do with the big screen. It replaced the 1080 ultra-wide so I feel like I have a lot more room and everything is sharper.

Fixed mine for $279. I think it's more than worth the money. As a programmer and designer, I want as much screen real estate as possible without a border in the middle. It would have been 5 runs but I had a very small dent/chip on the back of one of the edges. Does not affect the actual display. I was a little hesitant to fix it, but since this isn't an item that depends on the internal battery / you can tell pretty quickly if there's something wrong with the display, I took a chance. Color accuracy isn't very good, brightness is a bit low, and refresh rate is slow. However, if you're like me and all you need is plenty of screen real estate to accommodate multiple windows and tabs, then this monitor will do the trick. I only use it for programming and data analysis, nothing to do with gaming or graphic design, so I'm fine with that. However, if you're looking for a gaming monitor, you might want to save up and buy something better.

Great for coding! Bad: The stand is not very good. It felt flimsy and didn't keep the monitor perfectly level. I'm using a different monitor stand, so that's not a problem. Price: A few weeks later I found a new one at Costco for $20 more than this refurbished one. Pros: I love this monitor! I am using DisplayFusion (freeware) which allows me to use the screen as three monitors. It is wonderful. I can't imagine going back to dual monitors.

Review update: This is a very good monitor for setting up WFH. Very good image quality, no noticeable dead pixels. It's worth noting that the monitor doesn't have a built-in speaker, and either due to repairs or just a manufacturing defect, the display's tilt bar was initially too loose to actually support the adjusted angle and the monitor simply tilted forward, under its own weight. The Samsung technology on this monitor is amazing. It looks big, but once installed it is comfortable to work with. I was refurbished (upgraded) and it was like new. Everything was well packaged and in perfect condition. No regret.

I like the monitor for general tasks. If you are looking for the best picture quality or for gaming. it is not a monitor. But for the price, IT CAN'T BE BEAT. I recommend.

I bought two of these refurbished screens. both worked less than 6 months before they stopped working. Very disappointed.

This monitor is great for multitasking business applications. I often need to align student guides, teacher guides, and PowerPoint presentations. With this monitor I can have all 3 apps full size side by side... so much easier!

Bought refurbished, box was a bit wrinkled but other than that everything looked/worked great. Buying refurbished is worthwhile.

A good product. It would be great if it had a built-in speaker. Highly recommended when not considering the built-in speaker.

I bought this monitor to watch my music production DAW and it works great. Maybe I'll get a second one. Limited build quality.

To clarify, I'm not a programmer. I have to work with many text editor files open at the same time. The screen is huge; more than I could ask for. My main complaint is that it constantly tilts forward (tilts down) more than 5 degrees and is not adjustable. This put a lot of strain on my neck when sitting or working while standing. Back to something that has a tilt adjustment.

When buying a refurbished monitor, my biggest concern was possible dead pixels or scratches. I am pleased to report that my monitor looks and works like new. I also received all the original packaging and instructions. Large aspect ratio for productivity!

Just FYI what I learned in that order. "Update" means "RESTORED". This means that the product has been well repaired and tested.

Bought renovated. Works well 85% of the time. Fifteen percent of the time, the screen goes black for a few seconds with no warning or specific reason that we can troubleshoot.

Little did I know when I bought this monitor that it had no sound. Can't beat this monitor for the money.. Other than that, it's a great bang for your buck.

I was looking for a monitor to replace an old TV I was using and really wanted an ultra wide monitor. I found it and thought "this is perfect" but found that the picture quality for gaming is actually worse than the old TV. It's probably a great monitor for the casual PC user who needs extra workspace for things that don't require higher refresh rates and even for watching videos or movies, but not recommended for gaming.
