Okay I've had this pad for a few weeks now so I can speak first hand but of course can't confirm how it holds up over time. This mouse pad looks very stylish with my Mac and Magic Mouse. I don't have an issue with the optical mouse "jerking" as some other reviewers have noted. I also have no problem with a slight squeak when moving the mouse over the pad. The aluminum pickguard is lightly textured so it "feels" natural like friction. It doesn't bother me at all. My only concern is prolonged use

I recently bought a larger monitor and noticed that my mouse speed was severely slowed down (even at max speed). I then bought this mouse pad hoping it would speed things up, but it slowed it down more than any other mouse pad. I only mentioned this because I wouldn't have bought it if I knew how much it would slow down cursor speed. Also, the color doesn't match the iPad's space gray color but better matches Apple's space gray keyboard.

It is very beautiful, but the color is not as described. I ordered a gold mouse pad and it was very similar to rose gold, I assumed I was accidentally sent the wrong color. So I returned it and ordered another one in gold. The second mouse pad was the same color as the first. i kept it It is good quality and very pretty, however it is not actually real gold as it says in the listing and in the photo on the box.

The texture of this pad is terrible for a digital mouse. It will eventually scratch the bottom of your mouse and ruin it so I decided to return it. Not to mention that the mouse makes a terrible noise when moving. You will hate it. I only gave 2 stars because it looks nice and that's just a compliment for the manufacturer. When I bought this product, I was hoping that my mouse pad would look modern, that it would go well with Apple's aluminum products, but I also wanted my mouse to be able to use it, it should be a normal mouse pad. Very stylish and works well with my mouse. However, I'm curious to see how the interface will look after a few months of use. Someone mentioned that it ruins the bottom of the mouse. I'm not sure how this could happen as almost all mice have plastic or rubber sliders on the bottom. They can wear out over time, but even cloth mouse mats can't prevent this in the long run. Just buy new sliders when they run out.
