At the moment I am giving this one star because the cage arrived broken. So now I have to wait another week to get a replacement. Let's hope for the next one. Arrives undamaged!

Yes it is expensive compared to other cages but I am very satisfied. 3 access doors, more than enough room for my mouse to burrow. I only wish they had finished the platforms to allow for more pet space on the 2nd and 3rd floors. But I think it's possible to buy additional ones and install them. Other than that, I'm happy with what I got.

I've done a little work on the MacGruber to make it more gerbil-friendly. Bend the bottom ladder so it's not so steep and hitting the wall. I bought a used one that had a tear all the way down the side, but I figured it wasn't bad considering I paid $40 less. Check out my handwork. Overall it's a good cage, but leveling is a PAIN, you know what. Install multiple wheels on wire for maximum space.

This is a very good gerbil cage because it is made of a smooth plastic container with no chewing edges and all other parts of the cage and accessories are metal. This is very important as it makes the gerbil's cage strong as in a normal hamster cage they can chew through all the plastic parts fairly quickly. This cage is very roomy for enough sawdust to dig and build tunnels in. There is also space for running and climbing on the second floor.

This setup is about 20 gallons or so, which is good for 2 gerbils. The quality of all parts seems excellent so far, but the ramp/platform parts provided are quite limited. The orange ramp is so long it barely fits in the cage - I plan on removing the orange ramp and replacing it with something else. The green ramp and both platforms are great! When everything is assembled I can easily move the cage around if needed as the bottom and top are firmly connected. My gerbils live their best life…

This was the best I could find, shipped in the US, was a good size but took up less space and came with a transparent basket deeper litter is allowed.
