The lid won't stay on! bad!

Tiny prongs hold the lid. If you get in with tea flakes (easy to do) or if you don't put the lid on VERY CAREFULLY, the lid will come off and you'll end up with a mess on your hands. I finally threw this one in the trash and got one that SCREWS so the lid STAYS!

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Transparent film

Great for the price

The holes are the perfect size. In general, it is very durable, but small metal pins can come out in a blue moon every time. A light push against the edge of the basket snaps them back into place, but I ended up having a breakdown after a few years of use. But it's okay, the two are holding up well too. I bought this as a backup in case something happens to any of the other contacts. Really good for the price.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Does not fit all

Leaking Metal Mug Batman!

Bought almost all other large teapots. I wanted them to be used in a fridge with ice. All the others had a metal grille, and every metal grille broke and fell off the rim on the first use or two. Not to mention that it is completely deformed. This one has much thinner holes which will keep a lot more dried mint from drying out (which is what I wanted it for) and there is no mesh to deform or come loose, it's a metal cup with holes in it.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Security

BIG FILTER! the best in coffee, tea and espresso

This is a good loose leaf tea infuser. However, I did not measure the opening of my kettle before buying it. The lid is too big to fit in the pot. In addition, the holes in the screen are very small. The tea I brew often has wide-open leaves. You may find that some teas don't have the space needed to open and brew. I'm saving that for another pot I have. Overall a good screen at a good price. Again, remember this is a big one.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Minor problems

I love that this large tea infuser has plenty of space. Once the tea is brewed, it is easy to empty and clean. The lid closes securely and is still easy to remove. The chain is just the right length. I brew a full pot of tea to make iced tea. I like to use Tattle Tea Orange Pekoe Black Tea, 2lbs, it tastes great and makes the best iced tea. In my opinion the best teapot on the market. I've had others, some worked well, some worked badly. I recommend this among all others. Good product.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent

Great for sun tea, too big for a pitcher

Bought this to make sun tea using loose tea. The problem is that it only fits in the neck of my glass jug (rectangular type with ribs and plastic lid). I still get flavored tea but I would have preferred to have it steeped in water. It fits nicely in a paper-wrapped jug, but it has a plunger that makes it really difficult to put the lid on the container when the tea infuser is in. But these are personal issues. If you have a pitcher with a large enough mouth, you will be very happy with this…

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Nothing here

I brew loose tea in teapots of different sizes depending on the size. A small pot with a cup or two for me, or a large pot for a group of friends. My teapots are fine, but finding a multi-cup teapot for large teapots is not easy. Something that allows the tea leaves to expand and be surrounded by water to extract the flavor and aroma of the leaves. The Schefs Multi Cup teapot is a good size, stainless steel and of very high quality. I wish they would come out with a similar one, even bigger…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great quality and size for making teapots

I like flavoring my Lipton tea with other flavors. It can simply be poured into a pitcher for brewing. So I wanted a large teapot to put loose tea in, put it in a pitcher with Lipton tea bags and let it steep in the sun. I chose Chef because it looked big enough to fit and it looked good. I was not disappointed. This teapot probably holds up to 1/4 cup of loose tea, maybe more. That's more than enough for what I need it for. I was impressed with the quality of the teapot when I opened the cute…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Communication with seller

I wish I knew this existed before!

I grow fresh mint and before buying a premium Schefs teapot I would simply toss a few stems (with leaves) in boiling water along with tea bags to make iced tea. Now I can chop the mint which adds a lot more flavor to the tea and I don't have to try to fish all the leaves out of the pitcher. I like to make two pots of tea at a time and found I didn't have to cut individual clumps of mint as I get just as much flavor by reusing the mint from my first pot. The sweetness of the mint is more…
