The bike is great - AFTER we took it to our local bike.

Great Bike - AFTER we took it to our local bike shop and paid $20 to put it together. After seeing how to do it, we could probably do it ourselves, but the instructions were utterly useless. I hope the following is helpful: The extra nut needed for the front wheel is encased in a black plastic piece, you have to break the plastic piece to get it out. Also remove the plastic cap from the handlebar to properly attach it to the bike body.

The seat came off. on trikes, scooters and vans

This bike was great but just past the year mark the seat broke with regular use by my skinny 3 year old. I contacted Schwinn and this is outside of their one year warranty so they would charge $14.95 plus shipping and tax to replace the unfinished part. I found this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AO7HSE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on Amazon for less than $13, free shipping and a metal frame so it should hold up much better . . It looks a bit big on the bike but fits my

Great runner!

I'm a big fan of wheels. We got balance bikes for our kids and they all learned to ride bikes without training wheels much earlier than most kids - we have three kids. Our second and third had wheels at 18 months and rode complete bikes without training wheels until they were 4 years old. In the video posted, my daughter, aged 3 years 9 months, is cycling without training wheels. What I like about the Schwinn: good quality, comfortable padded seat, What I don't like: heavier than the Strider so

Strider did a better job. Layout of a children's power strider.

I bought this for my 23 month old daughter after seeing my 18 month old nephews having success with the Strider brand. After comparing Strider and Schwinn, Strider did a better job. The Strider layout forces the child to sit up and raise their legs in a balancing act. It does the job best. The Schwinns layout is harder to come by. My daughter wanted to be standing and walking with her bike all the time instead of properly sitting and balancing. We both took toddlers aged just over 2 to ride…

Schwinn Bike wins by far!

We love the Schwinn balance bike that we bought for my 2.5 year old son! Especially when compared to his friend's Strider bike, the Schwinn wins by a wide margin (in our opinion). Here's why: 1. A Schwinn bike is much stronger because it's heavier, but not so heavy that my 3-year-old son couldn't easily lift it. Rubber tires are great because we live in the country and our roads aren't exactly flat so they ride much better than foam tires. The bearings and frame have quality components and are…

Great balance bike for my 3 year old

I bought this for my 3 year old who is quite tall for his age. He's about 44 inches tall so he's probably about the height of a 4 year old. He loves this bike because it looks like a "big kid" BMX bike and I love it for the quality and easy setup right out of the box. A couple of wrenches to attach the wheels and it's up and running in less than 5 minutes. My only wish is for the seatpost to be a few inches longer so I can adjust it higher as it grows. I'll be able to buy a longer post when the

Easy to assemble - 15 minutes max - but you'll need the recommended tools such as: B. an appropriately sized wrench. Make sure the seat height is adjusted for your child. When a child is in the saddle, the heels should not touch the ground and the front toes of their boots should touch the ground slightly, as if standing on tiptoe. There are platforms on either side for little feet to rest on during the ride. My child loved it and soon learned to stand on it too. That's a great runner. Nice…

After riding a balance bike, my 2y7mo rides a regular pedal bike. It works!

My kids (2 and 4) haven't ridden this bike in a day. My 4 year old used it for 3 weeks then switched to a regular bike and mastered it in 3 days. Nobody could believe a four-year-old on a regular bike with no training wheels. Thanks to the runner. My 2.5 is now flying on a balance bike but not ready to pedal on a regular bike yet. Many neighbors and many friends bought balance bikes after seeing our kids. The stranger stopped and asked about it. I would choose the Schewnn brand over other…

Love the kickstand but mine had a leaky rear wheel

This 12" Pink Schwinn Balance Bike is cute - with a capital C! Easy to assemble, takes less than 10 minutes with a couple of wrenches and no need to look at the instructions. The rear tire leaked the first day after 20 minutes of very light riding indoors on the hardwood floor, but it only costs about $10 to fix at a local shop. I don't know if leaks are common or if I just pulled a short straw, but then again it costs about $10 to fix and should take less than 5 minutes if the store isn't too…
