Very disappointing Flying Toys

Very disappointing plastic tab on the back of the bird that keeps the little handle from twisting back after you've pulled it open, it broke. We only wound it twice and less than recommended when it broke. Looks like old and brittle plastic. Worse, my granddaughter cried.

Pros
  • . It flies up to fifty meters with a nice fluttering sound.
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Wear parts defective

Both rubber bands broke after 5 minutes. What a disappointment. I had one as a kid in the 80's and it seemed like those fragile rubber bands have been around ever since. I tried it for my daughter and we got 1 cast with the first elastic and 3 casts with the spare set. Why bad quality for $14.99?

Pros
  • A flying bird from France. This is a fun mechanical plastic bird that actually flies with flapping wings.
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Fun Flying Bird: Novelty & Gag Toys

I am planning to use this bird in a musical rendition of the Irish drinking song Heigh, Ho, The Rattlin Bog, The BOg down in the Valley O! a bird in an egg in a nest on a branch of a tree in Ratlin Swamp down in the O Valley. The bird will be released from the stage and fly over the crowd! I hope it will be a big hit with the public. Well reproducible in practice so far. .

Pros
  • Comes with a spare rubber band drive mechanism
Cons
  • Empty

The kids loved the flying toy

My grandkids loved it! They are 5 and 7 years old and they like this toy very much. Everyone wanted to hold it while we drove into the field to fly it. It is a bit difficult for small hands to wind the rubber band, but with a little practice they can do it. It flies best with its tail down. After 2 hours of swaddling and flying, the little bird was unharmed. The children named this mechanical bird anemone. When my grandmother and I left home, we took Windy with us. This is how Windy will live…

Pros
  • It is about 8 inches long and has a wingspan of 16 inches tip to tip
Cons

Fun for Dads and Sons

surviving my toddler's abuse beyond any reasonable expectation, and the realistic flapping adds an element of cool that you don't get with a glider. The bird is framed in plastic, which is far superior to the strength of a balsa airframe. You can adjust the tail to change the flight pattern. For $10, a very impressive flyer, I was a bit shocked at the flight paths and distances achieved. IOW, fun for fathers and sons! Just make sure you have an open field away from trees and houses, especially…

Beautiful and fun

Buying toys for my eight year old grandson of twenty eight is not easy. He loves his video games and has outgrown Nerf. However, he was strangely intrigued by the mechanics of this simple wind-up toy, practicing the level of wind-up, variable tilt, and aiming, and running around to get it. I bought three, one for him and his neighbor friends and they had a lovely day with them. They hold up well too. These will make great beach toys and since they are quite cute you can leave one for little…

Pros
  • It is approximately 8 inches long with a 16 inch wingspan.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
