This rear wiper is NOT OEM. The factory wipers have splines that match the splines on the wiper motor shaft that protrudes from the tailgate. This replacement wiper has NO teeth. on the wiper shaft. This works, but be aware that you can wear out that rubber seal of the wiper shaft housing if the wiper arm rests against it. I don't use mine anyway.

This replacement rear wiper assembly was exactly what the doctor ordered for my 2005 Scion xB. With instructions and YouTube videos included, it was very easy to remove the old wiper arm and install the new one. Works great and actually cleans the glass both ways unlike the OEM wiper blade. In short, VERY happy with this purchase!

Toyota really should be ashamed that the rear wiper on a budget car has a rear wiper that can only be replaced as an assembly. This wiper arm does not have a serrated bushing, the bushing is perfectly smooth and the wiper arm I removed is serrated as is the wiper strut. I had to cut off my old arm because it was covered in rust, but I cleaned it up, put some anti-seize on the stock and all went well. Of course, since there are no teeth between the bushing and the wiper motor shaft, you must hold onto the wiper arm.
