Scitec 2510E Single Emergency Phone Review

We needed a good landline phone for emergencies and 911 identification (VOIP phones and cell phones do not transmit your address to 911, only a landline phone). Landlines are also the only ones that work during a power outage. Because they plug into a modular phone jack rather than a wall outlet, they will continue to work in the event of a power outage. The phone's volume control doesn't disappoint and the sound quality is significantly better than expected for this price point, surpassing the de facto standard 2500 set (AT&T/Western Electric model 2500). **EDIT IN REVIEW BELOW** After experimenting with some of the Cisco ATA settings I was able to resolve the issue with silent DTMF and unresponsive buttons. I did this by setting the FXS port impedance to 900. The default value is 600. I also increased the FXS port power limit to 5.
