Poor quality control

I received it with 4 wires unsoldered, sent it back and when replacing it I had the same problem. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me to cut the "black box" which would mean it is identical to every other wiring harness on the market except for the "amplifier signal wire".

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Something else

Junk soldering in automotive electronics accessories

EDIT: I ORDERED 3 OF THESE. ALL HAVE THE SAME DEFECT. DO NOT BUY. I need this specific wiring harness because of the amplifier that comes with the sound system. As this seems to be the only wiring harness I can find for this machine. As others have written, soldering is complete bullshit. All 3 ordered devices have the same problem.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I have no bad feelings about it, everything is fine

Poor workmanship: car and car electronics

Was very happy to install a new head unit in a friend's car. installation was easy and went well. plugged in, closed and initially sounded great. After a day of driving and listening to music at no more than 40% volume, both rear speakers and right front speaker were burned out! Incredible disappointment and anger! Before switching on the device, make sure that the amplifier is assembled correctly! All the cons weren't connected as shown in the picture and my speakers blew up!

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Expensive

It works - make sure it's right for you

Make sure this is the harness you want. When I searched Amazon, I foolishly chose the first pendant I came across. Unfortunately, my Sonata does not have premium sound. The black electronics box (see picture?) reduced the sound almost to zero. It was my fault. All I did was cut the wires, take this electronic box off and crimp it into the back of the stereo. Outstanding sound quality. No disturbances or worries. I keep my fingers crossed.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great harness with modification

Product worked but after modification. The setup was great initially, but the little black "amplifier" was muted and I had to cut it out to install. After I unplugged the "amplifier" the volume got a lot louder and sounded a lot better. I decided to open up the "amplifier" to see what was inside and saw that the 4 wires that power the speakers weren't even soldered or connected. Poor build quality but I'm not complaining because it ended up being perfect for my needs.

Works great with a premium system

This works as advertised with a premium audio system despite what the packaging says. All wiring is listed on the bag and is up to standard. A clear time saver for aftermarket stereos. I now have a much more efficient stereo and the factory subwoofer still works. Note: There are some black ground wires. I tried one of the free ones and got significant glitches (oscillator whistling). I switched to one of the bases that goes through the built in black box and the problem is gone.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Almost OK

Scosche Wiring Harness for 2006 Hyundai Sonata LX Premium Audio System

Ideal wiring harness for the stereo retrofit on 2006 Hyundai Sonata LX with amplified 7 speaker premium audio system/subwoofer. I connected all the cables as instructed in the new stereo's installation guide and everything worked perfectly! Saved a lot of money when the installer tried to convince me that the entire system needed to be rewired. LAUGH OUT LOUD! Little did they know they were dealing with a girl who once helped her older brothers install stereos in their cars! So I was familiar…

Pros
  • Standard color coded cables for easy installation
Cons
  • Disappears

Help with installation and subwoofer issue

I had a new radio in my 2006 Hyundai Sonata that had a premium audio system with a subwoofer. They supplied Alpine CDE-164BT. I made this pendant available. When I picked it up, the subwoofer seemed weak and I couldn't control it or isolate it from the other speakers. The installer has confirmed that the subwoofer is powered by the same source as the speakers on the right. I didn't understand his explanation, all I know is that I had a subwoofer and now I don't really have one. Something in the

  • Connects directly to factory wiring harness without cutting any wires
Cons
  • Gotcha

Perfect fit for my Sonata 08 - except line level converter box

Worked great with my 2008 Sonata. I didn't have a premium audio system with a factory amp, so like others I just cut off the black line-level converter box. I chose this one because it comes with all the cables needed, including to add a steering wheel control adapter. The Ford wiring harness is missing, I believe the power antenna wire, one of the steering wheel control wires. It's easy enough to deal with, but not necessarily so. I would like to mention that when used with axxess aswc-1, the…
