Scotch Brite 07481 Aluminum Surface Conditioning Review

My mechanics love using it. You will find the Roloc system quick and easy to use. We work with airplanes and they have many uses.

As others have said they don't last long but they do have certain things they are good for such as: B. Gasket preparation, easy surface rust removal, and easy paint removal. Note that I keep using the word "light".

Great price. I made a mistake with the size but I used it anyway. Used them to remove rust from a project I was doing. Tends to lose footing after a short while but was still a good price and did what I wanted.

Have been using them for many years. I'm not sure if there are many other options. It's easy to use, but they don't last long. Schedule one pass for each sealing surface to be cleaned. (i.e. two surfaces that the spacer attaches to and you're done)

I somehow missed the fact that these were Scotch Bright discs not sandpaper but they came in handy so I'm keeping them. I worked really hard on one just to make sure they are durable and hold up better than expected. Pretty expensive for home use, but if they last as long as this first one, the cost will be reimbursed.

I used them to remove gasket material from an aluminum cylinder block and cylinder head. The gasket was removed quickly and easily by attaching it to the 1/4 angle air cap without removing the soft aluminum. I can't believe I cleaned my previous engine with a razor scraper and gasket remover. These pads make it 100 times easier.
