Inferior quality! Not like before!

For many years I only bought Scotch-Brite sponges. But my last purchase was TERRIBLE! The quality has dropped so much. The green part is made from cheap recycled materials that last a few days before losing their cleaning power. It becomes like a piece of cloth. My pots and pans don't come out as clean as they used to. I even left a bad review on the Scotch Brite website but it didn't go through. Of course, they don't want to hear bad reviews on their site. Don't waste your money and I…

  • Worth the money

OUR OLD DAYS OF GOING TO SPONGES - NOT WHAT THEY WERE

EDIT: You know how many companies try to make a little extra profit by pulling the bait and switching? Toilet paper rolls that suddenly get shorter. Cereal boxes are the same height but thinner. Bags of potato chips that contain fewer chips. How is it. . Those lips aren't as thick as they used to be. They feel noticeably thinner in the hand. And as a bonus, they fall apart much faster! The yellow part just falls apart on its own.* * *I always get big packs of these sponges. We use them for…

  • Great for a small home

Great sponges, great price

I've tried different sponges over the years and finally settled on my favorite about 12 years ago - Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges . I use them for everything including washing dishes, cleaning the bathroom and pretty much anything else cleaning that takes more effort than a regular sponge. As well as three sponges for various kitchen tasks, I keep two more in each bathroom - one for the toilet and one for general cleaning. Because I use so many of these sponges, I often buy them in bulk

Pros
  • Removes stubborn dirt 50% faster than other competitor sponges
Cons
  • Can't remember

Another American Classic Smashed

I've been using 3M Scotch-Brite 2x3" scrubbers since the mid 1960's; there was nothing better. Everyone loved them. But this is the 21st Century era for all USA Manufacturers of anything, shutting down the production line, firing everyone and outsourcing to China or wherever the cheapest job can be done, quality doesn't matter at all, this has happened to me over the past few years with dozens of products, some of which are authentic American Icons like Paul Revere's Kettle Here's the rub: The…

Pros
  • America's Best Selling Scrubbing Sponge
Cons
  • Legacy Model

I will not be buying this Scotch-Brand sponge again. I've been using it for 45 years. It was a brand name (Scotch brand) that they used against bleach and all dishwashing liquids (Dawn). My experience with the latest batch of sponges (Scotch brand). One thing struck me immediately. Part of the sponge, it (yellow) breaks into small pieces, like paper, maybe it's paper? The utility and durability that sponges (Scotch brand) used to have, but they just don't cut anymore. They disintegrate in just…

Pros
  • Ideal for the kitchen, garage and outdoors
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
