Wooden Ring Clamp for SE 6 Review

I first wrote a message to the product support link provided by Revain just to warn that this ring clip was riddled with holes, full of wood dust and completely covered in thermite! Since Revain kindly refunded my money immediately, there was no need to write a negative review without trying to rectify the situation. Well the manufacturer told me that they receive 3-6 such complaints daily and nothing has been fixed. That's a problem. So, I'll report it here too.

Ok, less than $7, I'm not expecting much. All I wanted was a functional ring clip. And the clamp works. now. BUT when I opened the package I was greeted by a cloud of dust covering everything around me. Turns out, the wooden wedge attached to the clamp was so full of termites that it crumbled to dust, like an old B-movie vampire caught in the sunlight. I just got them today and I already love them. I use a spiral jig and my old arthritic fingers have trouble holding the wire. I just used this with a 26 gauge spool and wire. It held the wire well and let it slide as the wire wrapped around my tool. Normally the wire needs to be cut at a certain point, but with this clamp I was able to let it keep holding the wire as long as I continued to wrap the wire to the end of the connecting rod.
