Good product, great price and the squares of your project.

They are very easy to use once you know the ins and outs of this product. You definitely want to start with the knob screwed all the way down for adjustment purposes. After securing it around your item, make sure to tighten the wing clips that hold the band firmly in place. Do not overtighten the adjustment knob or the belt clips may slip, but they require a lot of pressure. After it stretches, your project will be nice and square.

Great band clamp for small projects

I bought 3 of these when I was building a 7" x 9" x 74" box girder mantle. I used a carpenter's machine to align everything, glue it together, and then used it to keep the pressure even throughout the night (I also used 2 pipe clamps as well. They did a great job. Not only did they hold tight enough, but they didn't mark or dent the wood. Friction. At $12, they're great for small projects. They hold tight, but don't expect the same holding power as an $80 metal clip.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The list would be long.

Make sure you center the parts

The unit is easy to use but there is a catch, I made some frames for some photos, the wood itself was about 1/ 2 inch thick of this unit is about 1 inch so when the frame is on the table ready to glue do not just lay this unit on the corners and tighten because the corners will not center in the plastic. the corner pieces, it will look great from your point of view, but it pushes the corners under the frame where the table is. When the glue has set the top will be perfect, but if you turn the…

Impressive price

I am hesitating between this clip, the more expensive but almost identical one sold at Home Depot and the cheaper one sold at Harbor Freight with a different clamping mechanism. I'm glad I chose Sedy because he turned out absolutely perfect! It was packaged well and was easy enough to use on my first project. Zero complaints for the price. If I was going to be fussy, I'd like the cam lock on the other end to be spring-loaded for auto-locking. Both cameras are activated manually, which isn't…

They won't last long, that's why.

I bought these clamps thinking they were the same as Wolfcraft band clamps. You are not. The strap guide near the tension knob is made of thin plastic and when you push in you can see the red plastic turn white with tension. This went on for about 6 months and I was very careful about how much pressure I put on. The Wolfcraft brand has a very thick plastic section in the same place, but I can't find a ratchetless style on the Revain anymore. They will be replaced by something else with thicker…

"Sedy " has to give up and go!

Straight out of the box and it doesn't work I mean it's not that much and honestly the company must be really stupid to screw something up like that. But here it is - the quick release buckles (which keep the strap taut) don't snap. I think they designed them without considering the thickness of the strap. I'm sure that when I remove the strap they (the latches) fully...snap and close. Well they've gone bad and the latches don't close so the strap just slides through when you tighten the knob…
