Switches automatically depending on which computer turns it on. So far no problems. Does exactly what I bought it for. A keyboard and mouse is used by two computers. My monitor has multiple inputs so I didn't need a KVM switch.

I use this as a KVM without the video part between my work and home computers. I hadn't had a mouse or keyboard plugged in once or twice, but I've found that if I wait just 1 full second after pressing Shift, it connects every time.

Product so bad it's completely useless. If you're unfamiliar with the sound Windows 10 makes when it detects a new USB device, you'll quickly learn and hate the sound after trying to use that device. I'm not sure what the problem is, but the mouse and keyboard will disconnect and then reconnect every few seconds.

I use this switch in conjunction with an HDMI switch and a pair of DVI to HDMI adapters to switch between two old to share Windows 10 PCs A: 1) wired USB keyboard 2) wired USB mouse 3) external USB drive (has its own power supply) 4) old DVI monitor The combo works fine. There's also no need for a power button unless you're using a more powerful USB device that isn't powered by its own adapter.

I bought this switch to connect to my Plugable USB 3.0 docking station to switch multiple monitors, keyboards and wireless mice between work and personal laptops. I've only had one issue getting my monitors to switch properly, but I don't know if everyone will have the same issue unless they have the same setup as me (3 monitors + laptop screen). Pros: Can switch between two computers under certain conditions. Sometimes it even switches when you don't want it to! The wires look fleshy. Cons: I totally agree that USB ports are too narrow. MY GOD. But if, like me, you don't believe the negative reviews, at least use cables you don't mind damaging.
