Not configurable.: LED bulbs

Very disappointed with these. The brightness was ok but the basic smart bulb functions don't work because it doesn't adjust no matter what I try. A simple Alexa setup isn't easy and doesn't work. The only simple thing is that Alexa just doesn't recognize them. I tried downloading the Sengled app and setting up the bulbs that way. The instructions were easy to follow, the light flashes 3 times and the app asks me if I can see it. I answer yes to that. It then keeps trying to connect and then…

The lack of a local connection means they won't work if the Sengled cloud service is down!

Sengled's recent multi-day outage shows how important it is for smart device manufacturers to offer the ability to manage their devices locally. There is absolutely no way to control these lightbulbs without the Sengled cloud service running. In the past I didn't think of controlling them locally as some of my first WiFi bulbs were from TP-Link providing LAN. REST API out of the box. (This allows a third-party app to control the bulb directly.) I was hoping other manufacturers would just follow

Not bad but they don't live up to the hype

This is my very first set of smart lightbulbs. I personally find these lamps expensive. So of course I expected a fantastic performance. Here is my experience. 3 are lined up in lamps close to each other, and the fourth is in a lamp nearby. One of the 3 is a slightly different color than the rest. For some reason it tends to be a little bit pink and sometimes it's very noticeable and other times it's not that strong. For the price I didn't expect such problems. The app is terrible.
