For anyone stuck with ancient downlight cans

While some might consider these overpriced, they do what is needed. My delivery included the self-tapping screws, but pilot holes were necessary. You will need the Dewalt right angle attachment for installation, unless you already have one. I installed with the lower edge of the clip 1.5" above the ceiling edge. The attachment and the clips were sent together by Prime in less than 2 days. My LED retrofits now fit snugly against the ceiling.

Pros
  • Made with high-strength materials to withstand regular wear and tear
Cons
  • May produce unwanted flickering or strobing effects

Easy installation - my new review

This is exactly what I needed. Measured an inch and a half in and do yourselves a favor and get a right angle drill attachment. Made my job super quick. Held the canned lights in place with no issues

Pros
  • Replaces broken or missing C-Clip hooks from recessed housings
Cons
  • May require additional hardware or accessories for optimal use

Worked fine on my review.

These work fine and easy to install. I installed in cans on a 17 foot ceiling so I made a template to set the right height and to make sure they were directly opposite of each other. I used some flashing to make the template. I predrilled with a small bit and used a right angle drill.

Pros
  • Offers a snug fit for a variety of recessed downlight fixtures
Cons
  • May not meet local building codes or regulations

Perfect for new Retro fit LED recessed downlight

I recently replaced my recessed lighting with Sunco Lighting 12 pack. However the old canisters that I have did not have any C hooks to insert the wire springs into to hold the new lights in place. This is what you need. They are individually package with one pair of C hooks and 2 screws. So here is the important part. you only have to go about a inch up into your metal canisters. I used a slightly smaller drill bit to make the pilot hole to make it easier to get the screw started. there are no

Pros
  • Accommodates a variety of light bulb types and sizes
Cons
  • C clips may be difficult to manipulate or clamp in place

Perfect for LED can lights

These worked out perfect for our replacement lights. The only difficult part was installing the screw - Maybe metal screws with a different end that cuts into metal would be more appropriate. Also, more choices for amount would be helpful so that you don't have to buy a excess amount (just a suggestion).

Pros
  • ‎20 Pack (10 Pairs)
Cons
  • May not be adjustable to accommodate different bulb angles

Good Clip for Most Applications

I purchased these clips to use on older recessed light housings that are not so equipped. There is another clip on the market that is a little more user-friendly; It locks into the bare edge of the housing to a preset position. However that clip will not work on retrofit housings that have a drywall flange. The clip I purchased here is universal and should work for all housings. I give it a 4-star rating because I am optimistic it will meet my needs for most applications.

Pros
  • Provides a reliable hold with minimal slippage
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with certain types of energy-efficient bulbs or fixtures

Crappy little part but necessary to keep the the retrofit LED 5"/6" recessed lights in place.Difficult to install because you have to drill two screw holes in the old canister light fixture toattache the two clips.

Pros
  • Available at an affordable price point
Cons
  • Housing may interfere with other electrical or mechanical systems

Easy to use and great value!

Exactly like the ones sold at Home Depot but at half the cost! Installed these and fit as intended and so far no lights have fallen. I don’t expect them to either.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Self-tapping screws may come loose over time

If you have the old style can lights and want to update to new LED lights you will need these. Previously tried securing the lights with different adhesives and was not successful; Installed these clips and now the lights are flush and perfect!

Pros
  • Ideal for use in conference rooms, retail stores, and galleries
Cons
  • Screws may loosen or fall out over time

Can light bracket clips

My can lights from 1977 did not have torsion spring bracket clips to enable the installation of new LED lights. These clips were exactly what I needed.

Pros
  • Simple yet elegant design for minimalist aesthetics
Cons
  • May produce unwanted heat or radiation in certain applications
