This worked on my Benchmade M4 Steel.

I have Benchmade Bailout 537GY-1 and with this little sling and connection I was able to get my knife to almost cut my hair. Actually, it's mostly my fault that the hair doesn't get cut because I'm new to sharpening. I've only been sharpening knives for 2 years. I've improved a lot and this thing, no matter how cheap it is, just won me over! Will I recommend it? Yes! Would I buy it again if someone stole it from me? Yes, it has improved the performance of my knives enough to warrant another…

Worth the price with some tweaks

Okay not the best option for trimming bare leather as it is not full grain leather. What do you expect for this price? I've used this line with the mixture that came with it, but I've found that the finer grit works even better with it. I have forged both German and Japanese knives and with the best polishing paste this belt works great. If you buy this thinking your knives will be razor sharp, don't. Composite leather is basically useless, the only hope you have is some really great polishing…

Good budget line.

Smooth leather, a little softer than I had hoped but very handy for daily pocket knife cleaning. The skin can be gently rubbed with a stiff brush to ensure the mass adheres better before application. It also helps if it's warm, for example, before loading, put the sling and mass under a table lamp or in the warm sun for 15 minutes. The mixture will flake off a bit if not warm. I haven't experimented with any type of mineral oil or water yet to see if a moisturizer would help, but it leaves a…

A good knife needs polishing

Economical five-star products deserve a fair rating. I used it immediately after receiving the product and the result was very much what I expected. The surface of cowhide is very smooth. I think it's real cowhide leather, not faux leather. I evenly applied the polishing paste to the cowhide and then sharpened the knife. When I finished editing, I received an almost new knife. The blade is very neat and sharp (I almost hurt my finger). I think I became his fan. This product also has a corner…

204N: Good value under $20

pluses - the skin came evenly and mostly without defects. - Wood is better than many more expensive slings. - the skin easily accepted the composition. - nicer materials than expected for $19. - Anti-slip pads are more beautiful than normal feet. - the leather does not feel cheap as you would expect from slings under 20€. - Line Effective - Deburring/Polishing/Sharpening. Cons - There is a cutout on the packaging for examining the skin. However, this cut does increase the likelihood of damaging

Pros
  • ✅ DURABLE BEECH BLOCK: Beech is made from high quality wood. The beech wood base is very durable and the natural wood texture is beautiful.
Cons
  • I will write later

UPDATE: A helpful tip I've learned when applying makeup is to rub some mineral oil into your skin. The mineral oil acts as a solvent for the formulation, helping it penetrate the skin and spread evenly. Now I have a good durable mix coat on the leather and am upgrading the Sharpal line from 3 to 4 stars. Original Review: Whether you prefer your leather sling smooth or a little grainy is a personal choice, I understand. This one is very smooth as if it has been polished. As a result, it doesn't…

Pros
  • ✅ NON-SLIP: We have attached non-slip mats to the underside of the device. The wood doesn't move when you sharpen the knife. This reduces the difficulty of sharpening the knife and increases safety.
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Great inexpensive sling from a company I trust

Sharpal may not be the BEST for some things and I understand that. But so far everything I've had from Sharpal has been great. I wanted/needed a sling that can help me achieve a high gloss finish. I researched and researched high and low. I decided I wanted 2 lines. mixed leather type (for another review i have one that also only has smooth leather side and rough side for compound, that's another review :-)) and polydiamond emulsion nanofabric type. This of course depends on the reason I need…
