Missing part, but otherwise very valuable.

appears to be the same product you find elsewhere on Revain for twice the price. No issues with premature wear as others have reported. Mine has sharpened a dozen knives with little noticeable wear. I would give it 5 stars but the blade angle guide was missing. I don't really care, but make sure you check the box.

Easy and with instructions

Easy to use and instructions in the box. Worth buying if you need to repair kitchen knives. The only two things I would recommend are making the block a bit wider and replacing the non-slip rubber that it comes with. The rubber piece slipped everywhere during sharpening, but I found that it stopped slipping by placing a damp paper towel under the rubber.

Great Stone #: Hand Tool

Be careful with this. As a first-time buyer you really can't go wrong with this, but pay attention to the finish on your knives. The instructions provided can be a bit harsh for some surfaces like mine. If you buy this stone, a 1000 grit will do for most of your needs, but for seriously dull or chipped knives you will need a coarser grit. If you're like me and want them to be as sharp as possible, buy these in addition to a finer grit like 8000 or 14000, trust me you'll be grateful. happy…

First time using whetstone

This is my first time using a Henckel Four Star kitchen knife sharpening stone. I followed a simple tutorial on YouTube, took my time and it was pretty easy. I was recommended to buy a 1000/6000 block as that is usually the only stone people need for sharpening knives at home. 5/6 of my knives were sharpened perfectly. The sixth chef's knife didn't take the blade. I've tried everything. It turned out to be so far away that I needed a lower (coarser) whetstone to fix this blade. Overall I am…

Does the job: Hand tool

I have complained about our knives for a long time. Everyday cooking becomes a nightmare because the knife is not sharp enough and I have tried many different knives. As a result, on the advice of friends, I decided to buy a whetstone. I've never used this, followed the instructions and it's not difficult. It does its job and keeps the knife sharp for a few days, but maybe I'm just not good at maintaining the knife, I have to use the stone repeatedly to keep the knife working. I think I need to

What a great product. The value is incredible. Couldn't be happier

Very happy with this wet stone. I'm new to stone knife sharpeners but I'm glad I picked up this product. It takes patience and an understanding of how to sharpen your knife beforehand, but this is a great place to start. maybe even great for more than one beginner. The stones look high quality and the included case and accessories really won me over. I've already sharpened the knife. I took a 10 year old master knife from my parents (it was so dull I couldn't cut myself easily) and made it…

Incorrect grain numbering.

This stone is suitable and affordable for those who cook at home and want their knives to have an edge to cut the steak better. I spent about 1 hour sharpening my 1000 grit chef's knife, which seemed pretty slow, only to switch to the 6000 grit side and find that the 6000 grit side is actually much rougher than the 6000 grit side 6000 grit .marked 1000. It's all the way back. Just to confirm I'm not crazy I sharpened one side of the blade at 1000 and the other at 6000 and yes the side marked…

High quality! Easy to use! GREAT packaging! GOOD guide!

I did a lot of research before buying any of these and prices range from $10 to over $100. Having never used the stone before I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I went for a lower price but still wanted good quality. I read the reviews and they were right! This stone is great! That works great! It helped clean my knives that were chipped, sharpened knives that were dull, and sharpen my scissors that I thought were dull for life! I like that no oil is needed. Water is required, it says…
