Great for sport racing

This is a great upgrade for my mountaineering road bike. I'm just new to cycling and needed lighter gear until I get stronger, at least that's the plan. It's a bit heavy, but I don't really care about the weight as I don't race and mostly ride my bike to training.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • So far so good

Great product, easy upgrade, big difference!

Just what I needed to save human energy in lifting. Big difference for my thick rubber! The seller's exceptional customer service helped me overcome my frustration. Had to buy a longer B screw to make it work. All in all, an easy upgrade for a newbie.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Wide range for 1x10 tuning!

Great wide range cassette for my 1x10 conversion on my MTB. I hooked this up to a Deore RD and a switch. It fits any Shimano 8/9/10-speed hub. I have the letter C, which means compact. I just had to use my original C-mount ring, which is a Deore 11-42T cassette, not a Tiagra. Now I can climb the hills I used to struggle with!

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Easy to install, works like a charm.

I'm not a bike mechanic but with the right tools this cassette was very easy to install. Do a little research online, e.g. B. on YouTube to find out what cartridge you need, how to install it and which tools work best for you. I can change wheels on my mountain bike with little effort and this cassette fits my drive train well and I have had no problems with the chainring. Very smooth, works well.

Original Shimano, works like clockwork

It was very easy for me to install it. You'll need a cassette tool and chain whip, and if you're going from a smaller size you'll need a new chain. But you probably knew all that. It arrived in the original Shimano packaging and does the job. I installed it with the back of a Tiagra 4700 and it matches the B bolt perfectly. I sized my chain for a big big on a 50-34 crank. In the smallest 2-3 reverse gears, the chain rubs against the small chain ring, but it shouldn't be in these gears!

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Little things

Fits as intended on a hub designed for Shimano 9-10 -speed cassette is designed. You'll probably need a very long B-tension bolt to replace the stock bolt on your derailleur, but it only costs $3 more. This allows you to lower the upper derailleur pulley down far enough to move the chain over the two largest sprockets. Also, you need a switch with a long lever. This is a Dynasys tune which is not mentioned in the description and it was great for me as everything in my drivetrain is Dynasys…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

This is Shimano. Best in Cycling

Bought this cassette to replace a Sunrace 11-40 on my hardtail. The difference in gear shifting is really noticeable. I had an xt rear derailleur with a Sram chain and a Sunrace cassette. I also got a matching Shimano Deore cassette with XT chain and to be honest it made the overall performance that much better. Shimano never disappoints. I also got the B bolt for the derailleur and lengthened it to raise the chain all the way up to the largest cog. It's also lighter than the previous Sunrace…

But great product from Shimano.

Purchased to upgrade a Deore 2X10 system with a Shimano 11-36T cassette. The 2x10 system ensures very smooth shifting and quiet transmission. front chainring, rear derailleur, cables and multiple chains. Not wanting to upgrade to a 1X system and save on costs, I switched to an 11-42T which is a 10 speed cassette which is a Shimano product. I thought it would be as good as the 11-36T cassette. The 42T cassette isn't as smooth as the 36T cassette, you get more range but you might be disappointed…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
