Do not buy this if you need a stainless steel ruler. The 6" and 12" models cling to the magnet like bare steel. This is because it is not stainless steel. will charge you twice the price of an identical steel ruler while falsely claiming it is stainless steel. Very accurate. It is absolutely accurate compared to my setting blocks. Too bad the cheap plastic case didn't have these stickers. I say get a few of these, but if you're going to use them in a project, compare them to your tape measure, as your tape measure may not be accurate and you're working with apples and oranges with measure. I have several Shinwa tools made in Japan and they are all excellent quality. The 6" 4R steel ruler is identical to my 12" 4R steel ruler from Shinwa except for the size. This one measures exactly 3/4" wide and 6" long. I've compared it to my Starrett 6" and 12" steel combo square ruler and my Shinwa 12" 4R steel ruler and the markings are accurate. Starrett Rules.
