I like these masks because they are softer than others, but unfortunately they don't last long. Cashels is better to buy.

This is the only mask I will ever buy again. My mare has a lip melanoma and always has to be covered. It was a lifeline to prevent summer sores. I bought 3 packs so I always have clean ones on hand.

I like Shires masks. I gave this mask 4 stars because I don't like hard material for the ears, my old masks had mesh for the material of the ears. We live in Ocala, Florida and the summers are hot and humid and black hot. At the same time, I still like the Shires brand.

It would be nice to get what I ordered. I ordered the one in the picture, a fine black mesh, as in the photo. Got a default grid in gray color. Not sure if it has the same UV rating and it was a gift for a horse who needed UV protection due to blue eyes and pink skin. upset.

A friend bought this for her horse and it's great! So I bought it for one of my horses without hesitation. It's terrible! I'm sorry, but this is just awful! I had to return the item as I needed a colored fly mask which was easy to find in the field. Although the advertisement featured an orange and black mask, the only mask available was marked as black. Clicking on the color picker labeled Black showed an orange and black mask, so I ordered it and got solid black. Advertising and description are misleading.

The nose is too long and curls up when they try to eat. Of course, lugging around food also gets it dirty and attracts flies. The fly mask design is good; However, the horse is very hot and the forelock must remain in the mask, making it even hotter and more uncomfortable for the horse. Save money and buy a Kensington. At least they have a big open ear and a big front to allow the horse's muzzle to breathe.
