Best Dynamic Mic Kit

The bass mic alone saved my recordings. A little $ but I had no problems with the record. Good investment if you want quality.

Pros
  • Looks Great
Cons
  • No Form Required

Great Sound for the Dollar Ratio

Standard microphones for live performance. There's more expensive gear out there, but it's great for the average live performer and sound engineer. Don't use mounting clips lest you know how well they work.

Pros
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • No Instructions

What a great kit! The Best in Microphones and Accessories

This bundle offers excellent value for money. While it's good for drums, you also have the option of using the SM57 for other purposes, and the Beta 52 works well with bass cabinets. With the SM57 still being the industry standard for recording and live performance, you really can't go wrong with this kit.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • No Insurance

Great mics at a great price

This is a great deal and the clips that come with the mics are very good. For the 52A you will need a sturdy boom or low mic stand. Some of the metal disks fell out of the plastic bags during shipping and I had to look for them in the suitcase, but when I received the package everything was in it.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Nervous

This set is marketed as a "drum mic set " but...

This set is marketed as a "drum mic set" but of course they can be used anywhere will. Shure sm57 paired with MD421 is my setup of choice for guitar and 2 sm57 for top and bottom snare. Beta52 can pick up powerful low frequencies, so I use it for both kick and bass amps. Definitely worth the price.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

It's what all the big bands and recording studios use.

This kit is great. b52 is the standard for any world-class studio. and the sm57 is the workhorse for almost every situation. great for drums, but also great for everything else. I use the b52 on drums and bass amps in my studio. I got it first because every major record label uses them and I can understand why. there really is no other way.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Functionality

Great mics with crappy clips

A drummer friend of mine had this set so I decided to buy one for myself. I had the opportunity to use it extensively for recording for about 6 months before moving on to another musical project. Everyone knows the SM57 is a good microphone, so no need to go into detail. The Shure kick drum mic is solid, well built, has a nice mic input and mic stand mount design, and more importantly, delivers a nice clean kick to the kick drum. Beautiful, precise and clear. I use it up close to pick up the…

Pros
  • Don't waste your time

Good mics, great price.

If you're into live sound, or are on a budget, or just getting started with a decent recording gear, this is definitely a good place to start. You can put the SM57 in front of anything and get a usable sound. A lot of people love them on snare drums and guitar cabinets and get fantastic sounds from them. I'm sure you could get BETTER sound with other mics, but this is a very versatile mic and great value for money. It never hurts to have 3 mics in a locker. especially if you are making live…
