Works with Shure MV7

Shure MV7 Foam is not well made and prone to explosion. I like the sound quality so I want to keep it but I need a replacement. I'm watching a YouTube video by Curtis Judd that mentions Shure SM7B foam being suitable for MV7. I've tried several foam substitutes and this one works the best. Cons: It is mostly suitable and usable for microphones. However, the foam is too long. This created a small but annoying gap between the foam and the microphone body. Also, the paint is a bit worn. Pro: He…

This should already be in MV7 :-)

All I can say is that the functionality and looks are just great when you install this on your MV7. Not only does this make your MV7 look like an SM7B, it also reduces the amount of explosives LOTS. Considering you're spending over $250 on a mic, the least Shure could do was put in a decent windshield. I'm almost forced to say that if you're going to buy an MV7, you MUST buy this windshield to replace the stock one. The photos shown so far do not give this windshield the credit it deserves. It…

Perfect fit for Shure MV-7

I'm sure everyone has heard this countless times, but the standard pop screen that comes with the MV-7 doesn't stop the explosive noise at all. This filter for sm7b was a perfect match and my sound is now clean and sounds like it should. It's a bit longer than the original, but I don't really mind how it looks when it's on the mic. I'm not a pro when it comes to sound and I don't really understand what is right and wrong with many things related to studio quality sound. I know it sounds good…

It's better than the stock MV7 windshield

This is the stock/replacement windshield for the Shure SM7B. It fits the new MB7 and was recommended to be used instead of the standard one on the MB7. It is MUCH better in comparison, but can still be improved for explosives. Of course you can speak at a 45 degree angle to avoid a lot of explosives, but I prefer speaking directly into the mic as it has a cardioid pickup pattern. If you want to upgrade even further, Shure has the $24 A7WS (at the time of this review), which claims to be the…

If you have a Shure MV7 get this

I got this a while ago and wanted to give my feedback. I have both Shure SM7B and MV7. I needed a good secondary mic for another PC, so I bought the MV7. The only thing I noticed is that MV7, good as it is, is very sensitive to explosives. Yes, SM7B too, but not as much as MV7. I don't always like using those big pop filters and I just wanted something simpler. As a test, I took the windshield off my SM7B and put it on my MV7. Wow fits. It doesn't snap like the SM7B, but it fits snug enough…

Good Upgrade for Shure MV7

As many other reviewers have pointed out, this windscreen fits the Shure MV7 and is essentially a needed upgrade over the foam rubber that comes with this mic. The MV7 is a great mic, but *super* explosive. Switching to this foam will help a lot with that, although it still has some downsides. ADVANTAGES + Significant improvement over the MV7 windscreen, improved sound and blocking of much more explosive sounds. + Matches MV7 exactly (I see a review that shows it doesn't). Don't go to the end…

What can I say? It's from Shure, same windshield as SM7B

Basically a name. Of course it works just as well as the original. Great if yours is getting old, cracks, cracks, whatever (let's say you screwed up putting on a bigger one) and a really reasonable price point considering the cost of the mic; Shure can easily set it at $30 and people will pay. They make an amazing mic that can last for years and get it made like new with a very cheap OEM part so you can keep one of these for years. Imagine if Apple did this instead of intentionally draining the
