I've used them for both heavier items (60" Christmas wreath) and lighter items (LED string lights) and they've worked great. piece so you are limited to every other row where you hang the clip. I used with vinyl siding. I assume they will work well with aluminum fairings as well. They probably won't work with wood paneling at all.

I used these to hang signs and other decorations for our tiki bar on the back deck. We had a bit of a struggle getting them back in place, it took a screwdriver to pry open the siding, especially with our old siding. But when hung, they are very durable and versatile. They came with a thin plastic wrap to protect the metal from scratches (they will be sent "spoons together"). Foil needs to be removed but it must have been overheated or something because it won't peel off. I had to gradually scrape it off, and it wasn't easy or quick. I have vinyl siding and have used others before successfully installing siding clips but wanted something more so I got these but can't get them to lock in place.
