There were no washers for screws or gaskets in one of the boxes upon delivery (ordered 2). Wanted to install them after the season and can't because one box wasn't full. Unfortunately I miss the return date.

I've used these Sierra water pumps in my 1995 Sea Ray for years. They are relatively easy to install and do exactly what they were designed to do - pump water into the engine. I always have a spare on hand. However, I also change them every few years so I never had a single failure.

I have purchased 2 replacement Serria pumps for a pair of Mercury Blue Water Marine inboard engines. The pumps were delivered with a factory casting defect. An RA was issued immediately upon contact with them and replacement pumps were shipped and received before the failed pumps were selected for return. Me and my boyfriend have the same boat, it broke down last season. Bought, installed, works great. I bought to have a spare. Whenever possible we take our Tige wakeboard boat to the lake every weekend and usually have quite a few friends with us. It's no fun disassembling a part that small and it's EXPENSIVE at local stores. (I think I paid about $400 to have this unit replaced at the lake the last time it broke). Now I have a spare and can do it myself.

I usually change the seawater impeller on my boat every season. This time I decided to replace the case and backplate as well. When I received and inspected the Sierra 18-3150 pump kit, I was concerned/disappointed to find that there were uneven burrs on the ports on the inside of the housing from the molding process. Everything looked quality except there were quite sharp edges after processing. If you stick your finger in the case and move it back and forth you can feel some sharp edges where the impeller rides over the holes. It seems that sharp edges can cause premature wear on the impeller blades, so I took fine 1500 grit sandpaper and smoothed out the sharp edges in the casing before installing the impeller.
