Everything looked quality except there were quite sharp edges after processing. If you stick your finger in the case and move it back and forth you can feel some sharp edges where the impeller rides over the holes. It seems that sharp edges can cause premature wear on the impeller blades, so I took fine 1500 grit sandpaper and smoothed out the sharp edges in the casing before installing the impeller. This pump wasn't the cheapest on the market so I was expecting a little better quality for the price. I needed a replacement pump in an emergency, so I decided to order a cheap pump off eBay for $25. It ended up having exactly the same content as this one, and I honestly felt the quality of the cheaper one was slightly better. All in all I have no regrets about my purchase and hope the pump will last me a few years. In any case, you should replace the pump every 2 years as a regular service, if not. I'll let you know!
