Sierra International-MP39120 Chrome Ignition Switch: Premium Quality and Reliable Performance Review

This switch works as advertised. When the internals in my Crownline's ignition failed, this Sierra did an excellent job as a replacement. 10 minutes to switch off and run like a champion!

This switch was exactly the same as the one on our deck boat. 3 positions off/on/start. The length is designed to fit dashboards of different depths. Save $$ compared to boat store prices and buy this derailleur when it meets your needs.

Was able to replace the worn ignition on my 1994 Spectrum 18SD with this. It fits well and once locked it doesn't seem to turn unless you turn the key too tight. I was concerned that there is no key to stop the rotation. Overall much better than the alternative (missing key) and runs without a bypass.

My old derailleur would fail and sometimes leave the starter running after the key was released. It was a quick three-wire exchange. The body was much longer (1 inch+) than I needed as my dash is thin, but I had plenty of room in the back so size wasn't an issue. This is the long version for the thick dash I was supposed to be looking for. more for shorter.

My boat started to stall like someone turned the key on and off. I thought it was either the ignition switch or the switch. This was a simple OEM replacement on my Chaparral 220 SSI. All connections were in the same place as the original and also marked the same way. This solved my problem and got us back on the water with a 20 minute exchange.
