As sharp as a non-cine lens can be. He's smarter than Sherlock Holmes himself! Actually, this thing is 40mm antichromatic aberration. If you want to buy one lens and one lens only, this is for you.

Impressive! on camera lenses

Just received. Like my Sigma 85mm 1.4 it is sharp and AMAZING. I've been debating whether to go with this 40mm or 35mm. Went at 40 based on reviews and so far I'm glad I did. Cut. Compression, bokeh are excellent. Focuses very quickly.
