The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

Although I shot a little, I was very pleased. After Tamron 28-300, I was especially pleased with the sharpness at the long end. HA are minimal. Surrounding in shock from the dimensions)) Has pros: 1. Range of focal lengths 2. Build Quality 3. Sharp throughout the FR range 4. The stub is great 5. internal focus 6. Adequate price for this "beast") Its cons: 1. Well, weight, that's understandable. But this is a trifle for me is not so important. 2. A 95 mm light filter is a problem to find…

I am amazed at how well made the product is, just magical!

this is my second Sigma and I love them. I don't think the filter diameter is a problem. everything is available in foreign stores. especially since I have a crop and the kit comes with an adapter for a filter with a diameter of 86, and this is already cheaper. generally delighted with it. Now all I have to do is find the right bag for him. Pros below: very pleasant to the touch, pleasantly felt in the hand. one feels that in the hands of a serious unit. great colors. excellent stub. working…

Now this is my favorite lens

I've wanted this lens for several years but was afraid of spending so much and maybe wasn't happy with it. When I saw the price drop, I decided to buy. It has now become my favorite lens. The focus is very sharp, easy to use and so flexible from 50mm to 500mm that the only other lens I currently use is my wide angle lens for close-ups. The only problem is that I need a stronger tripod due to the weight of the lens.

Sigma 50-500mm OS HSM Lens (Sony mount)

This lens has a very high rating on Dyxum. I agree. Surprisingly sharp wide open. I tested the lens chart at 500, 400, 300 and 100mm. Surprisingly spicy! Note: Yes, it's hard. If it were possible to get all that big glass in a lighter package, that's what you'd expect from Sigma. I find the lens well built - sort of a tank. Sigma supplies a two-piece lens hood. Use 1 part with full frame camera, use both parts for APS-C. They also come with a reducer ring to allow the use of 86mm filters when…

Beautiful, clear shots from incredible distances

This is the second best lens I have ever owned. It offers amazing range and really nice, crisp images. I mainly use it for bird and wildlife photography. A note: when I first used it, I was very disappointed with the blurriness of the resulting images. This lens has built-in Sigma stabilization, which is really good, but you basically CANNOT use it with Sony's built-in camera stabilization (SteadyShot). You need to disable one of the two (which is very easy anyway). I find the Sigma's…

    Good general purpose lens

I've been using the Sony/Minolta Mount Sigma 50-500mm 4-6.3 lens for a long time (no HSM and OS) and I like this lens although it's a bit blurry at 500mm. He rarely left my cell. I've used it for bird watching and some semi-macro photography and got some great shots with it. I thought long and hard about upgrading and finally did it. I wish I had sooner! The new 50-500 is much sharper and the OS on the lens works really well. And the HSM is quiet, the lens without the HSM is much louder, at…

I purchased this through a third party Revain vendor who .

I bought this through Revain from a third party using Prime. I was nervous about buying a used lens without trying it first, but I rolled the die and hit send. Luckily it came as described, but with a UV filter instead of a polarized one. But there were other items in the original packaging, including instructions. I've rented this lens a few times and had trouble buying this or the 150-600. The key was that when I rented it I could use the same lens for close-ups after the events. was very…

So much fun! fits accessory kits

I bought this lens to use with my Canon 60D. So far I've taken some AMAZING shots of everything from alligators to moths. I have very little negative to say about it. Love the fact that it comes with its own very padded carry case along with two hoods. The build seems excellent (with one exception below) and I haven't had any issues with auto or manual focus that I think a few other people have noticed. My only complaint is the lock switch, which is used to prevent the lens from being…

Get a lens. The 50-500 range makes this my go-to wide-angle lens.

I already had a Sigma 150-500mm, which I was very happy with. But this 50-500mm lens came on a lightning deal and I had booked a trip to Alaska at Brooks Lodge/Falls in July (when there are salmon and bears) so I settled on this lens. I'm very glad I did this. It was a 1.5 mile walk from the lodge to the falls and we only did it 9 times (2 days 1, 3 days 2-3 and 1 day 1). On the first trip I had a lot of gear with multiple lenses. but this single lens captured everything I wanted. So on later…

    Beware of potential autofocus issues

I bought this 50-500mm Sigma because I'm tired of switching different lenses and want to find a general purpose lens. This is a lens with good reviews so I bought it. The overall image quality of this lens is good, but the only problem I encountered was with the autofocus. Autofocus does not work properly, especially at the maximum magnification of 600mm, resulting in a not-so-sharp image. However, under the same conditions at a distance of 600 mm, manual focus results in a sharp image. So I…

Sigma 50-500 OS Best Camera & Photo

Very Versatile Lens - Period! {Pros: - Huge range - Huge versatility - Very sharp for an ultra telephoto lens (I have this lens and a Canon 100-400 and this lens was just as sharp if not sharper than the 100-400) - Optical stabilization is really good - very good job - and especially appreciated with such a heavy lens - shoots good portraits straight out of camera with good colour, contrast and sharpness - although a little speed up in Photoshop really helps - but doesn't need much - great for…

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

The lens exceeded my expectations in terms of shooting quality, I bought the filter for 2500 on ebay without any problems, it’s not very convenient that the “focusing move” works in the opposite direction from nikona and tamrona, you have to get used to it, well, as a small appendage cover (it’s more convenient for competitors), but these are already trifles that you simply can not notice, although when you need to quickly throw up this unit, as it was noted somewhere in the article, it looks…

    Pros
    • Sharpness, focusing speed, color reproduction, build quality, and of course the ability to zoom in, compared to my old AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm f / 3.5-5.6G ED VR, it is simply great, especially focusing speed in poor lighting. The stabilizer works "with a bang" even on a long focus, just train your "grip". And what kind of portraits does he "paint" at 500 mm!
    Cons
    • In my opinion, there is one and very significant latch. It is disproportionate to the weight and volume of the lens, it is very small, with a poorly felt fixation and a short stroke, I have been using the nikona and tamrona zoom models for more than 3 years, despite the fact that these two lenses are much smaller. but the retainer for both is simply magnificent, sigma killed me on the spot - the retainer stopped working 15 days after purchase. (for repairs!)
