Didn't work for me

1 star may not apply to this lens but wasn't intuitive. Maybe I just did something wrong, but I couldn't get a decent picture with it. It really hurt to use

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

It definitely does what it says it does. I can move the camera a few inches away from the subject to make the photos look like macros. My only downside is that it has a very limited prime range. This means you lose all of the lens' flexibility except for macro photography. So expect to be shooting right in front of the camera. Also, I can't put the lens cap on this filter. I have to be careful when I have this filter enabled.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Useless features

This works on a Sony RX10 IV

Like the other reviewer I find this works on the RX10 IV when the zoom is set to 300mm (equivalent to 35mm) or more. The diopter value is around 1.75, making this the weakest achromatic macro lens I could find. I also have a 3 diopter lens, but it's easier to use, although not as powerful. It takes some practice to use, but a high f-factor that doesn't introduce diffraction effects helps as depth of field increases. pretty petty. Image quality is good, without the color fringing caused by…

  • This is amazing

Great results with Sony RX10iv

. I've posted photos both 'with' and 'without' this screw-on lens, all taken about 12 inches from the subject. Experiment with them and your separate camera to see what results you can get at different distances, focusing systems, etc. But at this price, it's definitely worth an experiment. I don't think you can put a standard plastic lens cap on it. However, if you leave it, take a neoprene "hood". ".

Pros
  • . Looking forward to
Cons
  • . Short manual
